Quarhodron

Quarhodron was the leader of the warrior caste of Jharkendar and a mighty warlord of the ancient Builders. He was the one who brought the Claw of Beliar to the city after a victorious campaign – a decision that would seal the fate of his people. When his son Rhademes took over command and was corrupted by the Claw, Quarhodron recognized with great sorrow that he had to fight his own heir. Together with Khardimon, the leader of the scholars, and the remaining members of the Council of Five, he devised a plan to stop Rhademes. An open battle was impossible, as the Claw granted Rhademes too much power. Instead, they lured him into the Temple of Adanos and sealed him alive inside. The healers were sent to close the portal and protect the rest of the island. Quarhodron and Khardimon performed the sealing ritual together, but neither survived it. His body was buried in a crypt near where the Hermit now lives. Centuries later, the hero summoned the spirit of Quarhodron with the help of Myxir. After a test of loyalty – a series of questions about the five castes of Jharkendar that only a true deathguard could answer – Quarhodron revealed the password to open the sealed gate of the Temple of Adanos, allowing the hero to pursue Raven inside. With his last fading strength, he warned the hero of the deadly chambers within before vanishing from the world forever.
