Orlan

Orlan is the innkeeper of the "Dead Harpy" tavern, situated halfway between the city of Khorinis and Onar's farm. He sells food, drink, various useful goods, and offers rooms for the night – 50 gold pieces per week, though paladins, mages, and members of the Ring of Water stay free of charge. He sources his wine from the Monastery of the Fire Mages, not hesitating to try and shortchange a novice on the wine trade. In secret, Orlan is a member of the Ring of Water, and his tavern serves as their hidden headquarters where meetings are held at irregular intervals and new members are initiated. In a cave near the tavern, he has hidden a teleporter stone on behalf of the Water Mages and barricaded the entrance. From time to time, the regular Rukhar hosts a drinking contest in the tavern, which Orlan disapproves of but tolerates. Even the notorious pirate Greg is said to have stayed there – though he only paid rent when pressed repeatedly. Orlan later also dealt in forged mining shares.
