Mika

Mika is a militia soldier who stands guard at the east gate of the city of Khorinis. For a starting fee of 10 gold coins, he offers travelers his help and accompanies them along a stretch of the dangerous road. He warns newcomers about bandits, wild animals, and roaming mercenaries – particularly advising poorly equipped wanderers to get proper armor first. From time to time, he also rushes to the aid of the farmer Akil when his farm is threatened by mercenaries. While Mika is open to bribes and enjoys his side income, he is no heartless crook – he actually shows up when his help is needed. Just don't bother him with trivial matters.
