Meldor

Meldor is the bodyguard of the moneylender Lehmar in the harbor district of Khorinis. A kindly older man, he spends all day lounging in front of Lehmar's house watching passersby. Despite his friendly nature, he is absolutely loyal to his employer – anyone who dares to steal from the moneylender must be prepared for a tough fight. For travelers, however, Meldor always has a useful tip: he points to Kardif's tavern for information, Lehmar's house for gold, and the Red Lantern for swampweed – the latter only if the visitor isn't wearing militia armor. As a resident of the harbor district, he knows the situation well: the people down here don't have much say in Khorinis, and regular militia patrols are nonexistent.
