Marcos

Marcos is a paladin from the expedition of Commander Garond in the Valley of Mines, responsible for the third mining site near the Old Mine. When the orc attacks intensified, he was forced to abandon the mining site and attempted to bring the extracted ore to the castle. Rather than taking the direct route, he planned to cross the frozen river and approach the fortress from the west. Most of his men were killed by monsters along the way, leaving Marcos as the sole survivor. He took shelter in a cave behind the old woodcutter's hut of Cavalorn, guarding four crates of ore with his life. When Engrom, a hunter who had fallen under the influence of the Seekers, attacked him, Marcos had no choice but to kill the poor man. He asks the hero to report to Garond that four crates of ore are secured but that he desperately needs reinforcements before the orcs discover his position. Marcos vows to hold out to the bitter end, for Innos is with him. After the orc invasion of Khorinis, the surviving humans were transported to the mainland on orc galleys and given a choice between slavery or serving as orc mercenaries – what became of Marcos is unknown.
