Malak

Malak is the shepherd at Bengar's farm on the Pasture Plateau – a job that, by his own admission, doesn't exactly work him to the bone. Like the other farmers, he fears the creatures that pour through the pass from the Valley of Mines. When the danger became too great, he fled with most of the farm's inhabitants toward Onar's farm – nearly forcing Bengar to abandon his homestead. Only after the hero hired the mercenary Wolf for the farm's permanent protection did Malak agree to return. He knows a fair bit about the pass: two paladins stand guard there, and at night the farmers claim to have heard screams and seen strange lights from the Valley of Mines. The Seekers later took possession of him, only releasing their grip after the hero intervened.
