Lehmar

Lehmar is the notorious moneylender of Khorinis who resides in a house in the harbor district, protected by his bodyguard Meldor. He charges 20 percent interest – rising to 30 percent for late payments – and threatens defaulters with death without hesitation. Numerous citizens of the city are indebted to him, including the innkeeper Coragon, the hotel owner Hanna, the carpenter Thorben, and the artifact dealer Lutero. Lares has a favor owed by the moneylender that he can redeem on the hero's behalf. His most prized possession is his ledger of debts, which records all outstanding claims – stealing it frees half the city from their worries, at least temporarily. The hero managed to relieve him of both the ledger and a seized Blood Chalice.
