Ignaz

Ignaz is an eccentric alchemist in the harbor district of Khorinis whose laboratory sits right next to Carl's smithy. He researches healing and magical potions and has also developed a forgetting spell previously unknown on the island, which he has the hero test – anyone who angers someone and then uses the scroll erases the memory of the incident. His somewhat peculiar demeanor has a reason: years ago he accidentally drank an experiment by his apprentice Miguel that was meant to affect the mind. His mental state has been altered ever since – Miguel was thrown into the Barrier for it. Those who help Ignaz with his experiment receive instruction in alchemy in return: he knows the recipes for healing essences, mana essences, and speed potions.
