Fed

Fed is a convict assigned to the mining team of Fajeth in the Valley of Mines. He has been driven to the edge of madness by the constant threat of snappers circling the camp. He refuses to leave the mining site, having watched others walk out and never come back – all devoured by the beasts. He spends his days hacking at the rock, convinced the snappers are waiting until the men are completely exhausted before launching their attack. He can smell them, he says. Bilgot observed them at night – some lurk by the pond at the foot of the dark tower, others watch from the cliff above. Fajeth worries that Fed's panic is infecting the other workers. Even after the hero eliminates the snapper pack leader and the beasts retreat, Fed remains unconvinced – if not snappers, then wolves, or lizards, or the orcs will get them eventually. After the orc invasion of Khorinis, the surviving humans were transported to the mainland on orc galleys and given a choice between slavery or serving as orc mercenaries – what became of Fed is unknown.
