Engrom

Engrom was a hunter and the companion of Talbin, who followed him into the Valley of Mines "without asking questions" in hopes of making a rich haul. When the orcs invaded the valley, the two hunters became trapped at their camp by the river. Lurker meat and the occasional scavenger kept them fed, though Engrom grew sick of lurker flesh. He didn't dare approach the orc-occupied pass and reluctantly accepted being stuck. As the situation in the Valley of Mines deteriorated further, Engrom fell under the influence of the Seekers, who eventually cursed him with their dark gaze. He fled from Talbin and was later found dead near the old woodcutter's hut by the hideout of the paladin Marcos. Talbin, left behind in a panic, was rescued by the hero and escorted over the pass to Khorinis, where he found shelter at Akil's farm.
