Cronos

Cronos is one of the Water Mages from Varant who came to Khorinis at the king's request and helped create the Barrier. In the New Camp, he served as the Keeper of the Ore – guarding the enormous ore pile, trading magical goods, and coordinating messengers between the camps. After the fall of the Barrier, he followed Saturas to the ruins of the Builders and eventually to Jharkendar, where he studied the stone temple guardians – beings that appear lifeless but attack anyone who comes too close. Their driving force remained a mystery to him, though he was certain it was magical in origin. In Jharkendar, he drew maps of the area and supplied the hero with equipment and magical items. Before the orc conquest of the island, he teleported back to Varant with the other Water Mages, where he separated from the group and has since wandered the desert in search of knowledge and enlightenment.
