Bilgot

Bilgot is a militia soldier assigned to the mining expedition of Fajeth in the Valley of Mines as a weapon bearer. His duties include hauling supplies and keeping watch on the snappers that circle the camp – bloodthirsty beasts that claim lives almost daily. His companion Olav fled the camp but was killed by wolves. Bilgot desperately wants to escape the valley but is too afraid to run on his own. When the hero takes on the task of clearing the snappers, Bilgot shares his observations in exchange for a promise of safe escort out of the valley. He reveals that the snappers are cunning pack hunters with a form of communication – they never attack alone and follow a larger, different creature that the others submit to, never moving unless it moves first. This leader can be found near the old watchtower. After the hero eliminates the snappers, Bilgot packs up and the hero escorts him to the pass. Exhausted, he rests there briefly before attempting to cross. He was never seen again. After the orc invasion of Khorinis, the surviving humans were transported to the mainland on orc galleys and given a choice between slavery or serving as orc mercenaries – what became of Bilgot is unknown.
