Volcano

The Volcano is a towering mountain at the center of the Valley of Mines, south of the Old Camp, where an ancient castle once stood – a stronghold reduced to its foundations during the time of the Barrier and guarded by orcs. After the fall of the Barrier, the fire dragon Feomathar settled on the ruins and transformed the mountain through his magic into a blazing, scorching volcano. From this summit he surveyed the entire valley. The landscape around the mountain was utterly devastated and scorched, hordes of lizardmen guarded the pass to the summit, and fire golems gathered on the slopes. The mountain borders a lake fed by waterfalls, in which Xardas' sunken tower lies submerged. During his dragon hunt, the hero fought his way through the dragon's minions to the peak and confronted Feomathar. Using the Eye of Innos, he forced the dragon to speak and then defeated him in battle.
