Sewers of Khorinis

The sewers of Khorinis are an old tunnel system beneath the city that was sealed off long ago and is considered inaccessible by most citizens. But the thieves' guild under the leader Cassia has made it their home, using the canals as a secret hideout. From here they plan and carry out their thieving runs through the city, undetected by the militia. The sewers can be accessed through an entrance by the sea and a hidden door in the cellar of Hanna's inn "The Sleeping Moneybag." Aspiring guild members receive the key from the enforcer Attila without being told where the entrance is – a precaution to prevent the guild from being betrayed. Although the militia turned the entire Harbor District upside down, the hideout was never found. Rats infest the damp tunnels, the master thief Jesper guards the loot and teaches stealth, Ramirez instructs lockpicking, and Cassia herself trains in pickpocketing. In a locked room moulders the legendary chest of the master thief Fingers, fitted with a lock so intricate that no one has managed to open it – Fingers himself was thrown into the Barrier and never returned. Bosper's stolen bow and Coragon's silver chalices are also stored here as stolen goods.
