Akil’s farm sits northeast of Khorinis, close enough to the city to stay loyal to it, far enough out that nobody from the city can do much when Onar’s mercenaries come by to make a point. They do that regularly. Akil holds his ground, the city holds its position, and the mercenaries hold the road. Nobody is happy about the arrangement.
The forest behind the farm does not help. It is large, dark, and home to the kind of people who steal sheep and think a cave is a reasonable place to run a business. Between the mercenaries out front and whatever is going on in the woods behind, Akil’s farm stays eventful.
