Swamp Shark

Swamp sharks are large, elongated reptiles with grey skin, no limbs, and a three-part jawless maw. They move by swimming and crawling through shallow water, living in larger swarms – once they bite, they never let go. On the island of Khorinis they inhabit all swamp regions: the swamp of the Valley of Mines during the time of the Barrier, the large swamp west of the castle created by the swamp dragon Pandrodor after the fall of the Barrier, and the swamp of Jharkendar. There they rank among the greatest dangers alongside swamp golems, bloodflies, and swamp gas drones. The orcs of Khorinis attach great ritual significance to swamp shark teeth – called DWACHKARR in the orcish language, they are used together with the horn of the shadowrunner and the tusk of the troll in the creation of the Ulu-Mulu, a standard symbolizing friendship. For humans, both the teeth and the hide are of high value and gladly purchased by any merchant.
