Stone Golem

Stone golems are magical creatures forged from solid rock, also known as leviathans, stone colossi, or walking rock piles. In combat they are nearly invulnerable – swords, axes, and bows bounce off harmlessly. Only blunt weapons like great clubs and war hammers can drive cracks into the stone until the golem shatters. They are found primarily in mountainous regions. Before Xardas' tower in the orc territory they served as part of the golem puzzle, at the old keep in the Valley of Mines they guarded paths, and at the mountain fortress stone golems and lizardmen were posted on the plateau. Some special stone golems cannot be defeated even with blunt weapons – only the holy Hammer of Innos can destroy them: the Stone Guardian, whom Rhobar I fought with Innos' name on his lips, and the Living Rock, which the archmage Serpentes used as a task for the Trial of Fire at the monastery. A stone golem heart is a rare ingredient for the Awaken Golem and Army Of Darkness runes.
