Stone Dragon

The stone dragon Pedrakhan was one of the four dragons in the Valley of Mines, whose element was stone. He answered the call of his master, the undead dragon in the Halls of Irdorath, and attacked the Old Camp with his brothers, severely damaging the castle and killing many of Commander Garond's paladins. Afterwards he retreated to the old mountain fortress in the far south of the Valley of Mines – the former hilltop castle of the castellan Bergmar of Westfeld. Above the fortress he carved a cave into the rock and established his hoard. Through his magic, the entire surrounding area was transformed into a barren wasteland of stone devoid of vegetation. Lizardmen and stone golems stationed themselves on the plateau before the fortress, forming a formidable defense. The paladin Oric reported the heavily guarded rock fortress in the south to the hero. The hero fought his way to the fortress alongside the mercenary GornGorn held the plateau while the hero traversed the castle alone, fighting off lizardmen and other creatures, and from the fortress roof found the cleft in the rock leading to the dragon's lair. Using the Eye of Innos, he forced Pedrakhan to speak. The dragon revealed knowledge about the dragons' strength, their connection to the elements, and the plans of evil before falling in single combat. The hero extracted his stone heart and used it to recharge the weakened Eye of Innos.
