Snap Grasshopper

Snap grasshoppers are very large insects, also known as leaf crawlers. Despite their fragile appearance, they should by no means be underestimated – once they lock their pincers onto a victim in combat, they are extremely hard to shake off and usually receive reinforcements within seconds. Their entirely green skin and leaf-shaped back plate provide perfect camouflage in dense vegetation. They are related to minecrawlers but differ in their green coloring, two antennae on their heads, and the fact that they live outdoors in daylight – unlike their relatives, which are only found in dark caves. Like minecrawlers, they have two eyes, four legs, and two arms, but their appetite is insatiable. They have been sighted only in the valley of Jharkendar on the island of Khorinis – one of the many creatures the Water Mages had never encountered before their expedition. Their heads can be extracted as trophies.
