Harpy

Harpies are fiercely fighting creatures, half humanoid woman and half bird. On average they are only slightly smaller than humans. Their claws on hands and feet are strong enough to pierce even armor. They live in groups in mountains and rocky regions, in abandoned fortresses, or at other inaccessible spots, attacking anything unfamiliar without hesitation. So far they have only been sighted on the island of Khorinis. In the mountain fortress in the Valley of Mines, they nested after the fortress was abandoned by its inhabitants – only the hero and Lester drove them out during their search for the focus stone. They also lurk in the mountains of the Valley of Khorinis and among the rugged cliffs of Jharkendar, ambushing travelers.
